Looking for some variety in your dieting or higher carb days?
Matt Porter has a low fat pizza recipe just for you.
All right guys. I'm going to show you how I make my famous MPA, virtually fat-free pizza. So I usually incorporate this meal, I guess you could call it a cheat meal, all my [inaudible 00:00:14] dieting clients, once they are at the point where they can have a high carb day, I might throw this fat-free pizza in, just to bring up the monotony of rice, potatoes, all that stuff. It's something that maybe liberates them, but you're literally just getting glycogen replenishment; you aren't flooding your body with a bunch of fatty acids like having a real fattening pizza. So this is what I do.
Rustic crust, which I get from Whole Foods. And the cool thing about this, it's very low in fat. Per serving it's only 1.5 grams of fat, and there's another flavor that's 0.5 grams of fat, and there's six servings, so three grams of fat for the one that's 0.5. This is an awesome, fine Lifetime fat-free cheese, this is Monterey Jack. They have cheddar, they have mozzarella, they have Pepper Jack. You can grate it, guys. It's really good texture. This melts actually really good. And of course your regular fat-free mozzarella, which, a little bit like plastic once it solidifies in the oven, so you've got to eat it right away. And then of course try to opt to find a sauce that is also fat-free. So this one is actually fat-free as well. Be careful with other marinaras, because they do add olive oil. So definitely be meticulous, and look on the back and be very particular with the nutrition facts. So we're going to put this all together and show you the MPA, low fat, or almost fat-free pizza.
All right guys. So I got the pizza put together. Once again, marinara at the base there, and then I have my fat-free Monterrey Jack in there, incorporated with the mozzarella fat-free. And then this is a good way to throw in some dry, boring chicken breasts, broken up, then the cheese will melt right over it. So I'm going to pop this in the oven at 450, for around 10 to 15 minutes, but just check on it to see if it's melted to your liking and browned to your liking, and we're going to take it out and see what it looks like.
All right, guys. Just took it out of the oven. Golden around the crust, sliced into four big slices, added some Sriracha over the top, and there you have it. The MPA, very low fat pizza. Good for a high carb day, or a cheat meal, when you don't really want to have the extra dietary fat. There you have it.
